The summer of 2025 will go down as one not to forget for us at CYI! From trips away to centre activity days, there was something for everyone to enjoy during this year’s summer programme.
This year we worked with an incredible 102 individual young people!
For three weeks, CYI delivered a five-day timetable of trips and activities, giving young people the chance to access youth services, try new things, socialise, and most importantly, have fun!

The success of this year’s summer programme reflects the hard work, preparation, and planning behind it.
Around Easter, we began asking the young people what kinds of trips and activities they would like to enjoy during the summer holidays. Using their feedback we were able to plan a summer programme that was tailored specifically to them. In doing so, it not only reflected the voices of the young people we work with but also strengthened connections with local businesses and organisations, opening doors to new experiences.
This year, we extended our programme to run Monday to Friday, offering a different type of engagement each day. Below is the full list of our programme.

It is with great thanks to the supporters of our May fundraising event – The Wheelbarrow Race, that we were able to fund our activities and trips this summer. The amazing support and funds raised meant we were able to keep our programme low cost whilst also providing free food and drinks.
We’re thrilled with how successful this year’s summer programme has been. It created memories to last a lifetime, and we hope the young people enjoyed it as much as we did. We’re already excited for next summer!
